Beer is Bae – My first Beer post

Hey! Beer lovers.

With this introductory post, I start my new page where I will share my beer drinking encounters with you folks. I have a fantasy, a dream 😊 that one day I’ll be in a position to state that I have had the best drinking encounters ever and that I have attempted relatively every beer on the planet.

This Sounds unrealistic but then, there is no harm in dreaming. Right?

I am so hooked with beer that I don’t even care about what season it is – summer or winter, or what day it is, I just need a cold one. Hahaha!!! Though I mostly enjoy them on weekends. So, you can imagine what beer is to me, Beer is Bae. 😊

For me they are real stress busters.

The Beer revolution has begun

I love craft brews as well. They are amazing, they taste good as compared to most of the bottled ones, no preservatives and come in different flavors and types – Lager, Ale, Stout, Porter. And with that being said, I am happy to announce that there is an increase in the number of craft breweries which in turn is changing the face of present India. With the ever increasing demand, I can see that India is now gearing up for the craft brews.

Well, I am from India and here, beer isn’t as popular as it is in the other parts of the world. However, things do not always remain the same. India has changed drastically over the last 2 decades and so has the taste of people. There has been an increase in the number of people who have started to drink and like beer more. Thanks to the bestselling beer kingfisher and the people who have invested in the concept of microbreweries in India.

I live in the capital of India, Delhi NCR and I can witness new microbreweries being established here every other year and as well as in other parts of the nation since the last decade. And people are loving it and accepting it.

With the start of this new page, I’ll be visiting all the new and old craft breweries, pubs etc and will be trying all the different brews from around the world and will be sharing my experiences one by one every month. What kind of brews they serve and what kind of food items I will be pairing with them. When you are drinking beer, you have to make sure what kind of food compliments them. You just can’t pair any food item with it. Right?

Do you remember the name of your first bottled or the first craft brew you had?

Well, I do.

It was Fosters lager. And it was almost 10 years back when I had it.

I had my first craft brew almost 4 years backs at Vapours Pub & Brewery and it was super amazing. I would say it was the best I’ve ever had, maybe because it was my first craft brew. It was a dark brew, I believe it was a porter.

With this introductory post, the idea was just to share my perception as what the future articles will be like and to give you a glimpse of what place the beer holds in my life.

So, before ending this post, I want to share my thoughts with you.

We all know and have studied in school, that proteins are the building blocks of life and that they are needed for the sustenance of muscles and life. And you see, people drink protein shakes post workout as they are needed for the muscle recovery. The broken muscles are fed with high protein diet which helps them heal the muscles and recover faster.

Similarly, I believe –

“A Beer is like a protein shake.

A protein shake helps you heal your muscles likewise a Beer helps you heal your soul.”
